This wedding is so dear to me for so many reasons. The first is that Zach and Emily are HANDS DOWN the kindest, most humble, generous, and giving souls I have ever met. These two braved the pouring rain with me for the engagement session and did it with the biggest smiles. They are the exact type of couple I want to photograph every single day for the rest of my life if I could.

For those who don’t know, this is the last wedding that I did before I close my business. As a single mom who works another full-time job, I just knew it was time. What is even crazier is the week of their wedding I got incredibly sick with what I thought was a double ear infection. It wasn’t getting any better and the day before their wedding I ended up in the ER where they admitted me to the hospital for two days due to my salivary glands being infected.

As I kept them updated and was trying to set up my second shooter to do the wedding without me, Emily was the sweetest and kindest. She told me to not even worry about the wedding stuff. Anyone who has planned a wedding knows how stressful it is to get a text like that the day before. Turns out I responded so well to the antibiotics and steroids that I was able to be released and continue those at home. My second shooter even ended up in the ER THAT SAME DAY TOO!!! For a major headache and dizziness.

We showed up and were met with the kindest smiles. Emily and Zach’s family were thoughtful and gracious. Seeing both of their families and how amazing all their friends are, I can see how these two turned out this amazing. Not only was everyone so kind, but it truly was the best wedding I have ever shot. I cried when I realized I was going to be able to make it because I know how much Emily and Zach deserved to have their wedding told through pictures.

I cannot express how truly special you both are as individuals, and as a couple. In my five years of doing weddings, I have met so many couples. I have to say that out of all of those weddings, you two will always be at the top of my list. There is just that special something about you both that you cannot explain in words. The essence of who you two are as humans are so pure, kind, and what the world needs more of. I am so honored to be able to tell your love story.

The heroes of the wedding, the MVPs, the village that helped this be the most fun wedding………..this is for you. There were swords……….there was a knighting ceremony and a surprise couple session after the ceremony. You may have been behind the scenes making this so much fun, but don’t you worry.
