I scoured the internet when I was trying to decide on making the switch from Honeybook to Dubsado. If it sounds like I’m speaking a foreign language, don’t worry, I will explain. Both are client management systems that house all of your emails, payments from clients and contracts. It keeps you on track and does a ton of work for you!

Why switch from Honeybook to Dubsado

If you are a small business owner and have ever seen a client management system for the first time, you know it looks daunting. So, by the time I had spent two years with Honeybook, it was a hard decision to switch. There were two main reasons for the switch.

Automatic emails and email workflows

Now Honeybook does have the ability to send emails automatically, but they couldn’t send an email after a client had signed the contract and paid. I love having an email with all my style guide info go out as soon as they book me. Dubsado just ROCKS in this area. I can now have workflows set up for leads depending on where they fill out a lead form on my website.

So if a client is looking to book me for branding and fills out the lead form on that portion of my website, I can have tailor-made emails sent to them based on that need. It looks way more professional than sending a “Hey Beautiful Bride” email out to a small business owner looking into branding.

Keeping it simple

Now, let me start by saying this is purely my opinion and personal preference. Dubsado just has the easiest set up I have seen. It really is user-friendly and not hard to learn. There are TONS of tutorial videos broken up in sections so you can learn the site at your own pace. Too easy.

Bonus branding

Now I believe Honeybook has changed a few things after I have left. They now are giving you the ability to have your branding on everything so it looks like it’s straight from you. Which is sooooo nice! This was one of the other reasons I switched to Dubsado but Honeybook definitely is reevaluating as it goes.
